Caitlin Halbert, DO MS is a board-certified general surgeon with an interest in bariatric and foregut surgery
. After completing a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Halbert received her medical education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to complete her General Surgery residency training at Christiana Care Health System in Delaware. She then received specialty training at Stony Brook University Hospital, completing a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Bariatric and Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery.

Dr. Halbert is actively involved in national organizations, including the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgery (SAGES) and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). She has authored numerous educational publications and has presented at several regional and national conferences.
