Lapraroscopic Surgery

Lapraroscopic surgery is minimally invasive abdominal surgery through small incisions, approximately 5 mm to l.5 cm in size. This new technology employs a video camera in a slender rod and other thin and long instruments. The whole surgical procedure is undertaken with minimal skin cutting.

It results in rapid healing, faster recovery, and less postoperative pain than the traditional surgery. It is also cosmetically more appealing.

Laparoscopic surgery requires extensive specialized skills. At CHRIAS and Weight Loss Center of Delaware we perform laparoscopic surgery for:

  • Severe reflex/heartburn
  • Diverticulitis or diseases of the colon
  • Hernias
  • Diseases of the small intestine
  • Weight loss surgery
  • Disorders of the spleen
  • Diseases of the adrenal gland
  • Gallbladder and biliary tree disorders
